ππππ: Faculty and students from the College of Fisheries join βDaluyong ng Pagbabago: Adaptation and Resilience for our Ocean,β an action-oriented program held today, May 29, at the University of the Philippines Visayas Extension Campus in Pandan, Antique.
The event is attended by the Climate Change Commission (CCC), Senator Loren Legarda, and various environmental sectors and institutions.
Additionally, Dr. Garner Algo Alolod, Director for Research, Extension, and Innovation and faculty member of the college, will present a case study on Harnessing Adaptation Co-Benefits for Climate-Resilient Coastal and Marine Ecosystem Management, with a particular focus on sustainable fisheries and aquatic food systems.
The forum seeks to unite policymakers, academic institutions, national and local government representatives, community-based organizations, and other key stakeholders to encourage commitments that will advance climate and ocean initiatives at both the national and local levels.
