The Fisheries Honor Society, newly formed organization of the College of Fisheries successfully conducted the first session of the Fin-tastik Fish Talk Seminar at the University of Antique - Tario Lim Memorial Campus, P.E Room, April 26, 2024.

The event was graced by Ms. Jhereza Rhean A. Magarso, top 8 during the Fisheries Professional Licensure Examination (FPLE) last year, and an alumna of the UA-TLMC College of Fisheries as the resource speaker.

"I'm so lucky to witness and hear the experiences and challenges of our speaker before she became what she is today, and I've learned a lot from her discussion. Thank you, Nang Jhe, for imparting your knowledge and expertise in the field of capture fisheries. All the aspirant fisheries students were motivated by you. We shall simply never stop dreaming." Theanny Kaye Alonzo expressed, fourth year student.

In addition, this seminar served as an excellent platform for fisheries students to enhance their learning and knowledge, particularly for graduating students, as it also serves as a review for the board exam.

"Preparing for the board exam may be stressful, so it is important to have a positive mindset and firm faith in your abilities. Just read and with your grit, I believe that anyone can pass. Relax, read more and always have a good night sleep." Ms Magarso emphasized.

Moreover, the Fisheries Honor Society is planning to organize more seminars to provide motivation and support to students struggling with academic performance. || Kim Jenny Samar
